Hang Tough

Friday night I went to a concert BIGGER than the Beatles...NEW KIDS ON THE BLOCK.
It was a lot of fun. Pictures to follow when Kim sends them to me. I went with 6 girls and we all had custom made tank tops and whistles. For all of you who don't know what the whistels were for ( you are not true fans) they were for Hanging Tough.
The show was sold out and a second show was added....that shows you how many fans are out there! Of course they played some of their classics and also promoted the new album " the block." I'd like to purchase the CD but Anthony doesn't think its a good investment....wonder why. I first saw New Kids when they played with Tiffany at Great Woods. Mum and Bob took Jared and I in a limo no less. I wore pink bike shorts with a floursecent top and my white keds which mum decorated with puffy paint...jared had socks up to his kness and probably a fanny pack with his autograph book, he worshiped Jonathon ( the gay one).

I got home late, well actually early saturday morning. Saturday afternoon I started cleaning out the guest room closet to make room for the peanuts room one day, after all he/she already has three outfits! LAter in the day ANthony and I went to BJ's and LOwes. ANthony was making shelves in the garage to clean up. We finished the day at Paul's Pasta for dinner.

Today Anthony is at the red sox game and I am home resting. I did laundry and now I am baking a shepard's pie.

That's all.

Say Cheese

So yesterday, Kristin went to the doctor because she was not feeling well. While there, they did another ultrasound so they could hear the baby's heartbeat. If you look at the ultrasound below, you can see the little eyes, nose, arm, hand and even the little frown! How cute!!!!

Finger Lickin Good

Last night Kristin and I went to a wedding for someone we work with. The wedding was in Woodstock, CT, which is straight up 395, right before the Worcester, MA border. It was a beautiful day yesterday and an even better evening. The ceremony was outside, which lasted about 5 minutes (no lie). After the ceremony, we had cocktails and appetizers outside on the terrace, over looking the fields where the sun was setting over. Following appetizers, we went inside for dinner, which I thought was really food. It seems like every wedding/event there is always one person who ends up breaking something. Well, last night I was "that guy." As I was sitting down at the table, I went to go move my water glass, which ending up shattering in my manly grip. Glass and water went everywhere! Following dinner, there was dancing outside on the covered deck, which was pretty cool, literally. I have to go on record in saying that Kristin looked absolutely beautiful! Everything from her outfit, to her hair to her face was beautiful. It must be the pregnancy glow! I am so mad that we forgot our camera, so we were not able to get any pictures of the two of us.

Today, after only getting a few hours of sleep, Kristin and I did some errands. We planned a feast of food to eat tonight as a mini-celebration. Kristin made her famous cheesy potatoes and also made lemon bars for dessert. I made a homemade apple pie, which I have to say was awesome!!!

For dinner, in addition to the cheesy potatoes, I made bloomin onions with really good dipping sauce, and chicken friend steak. I also made country gravey to go with the friend steak. As always though, I make WAY to much food, but I guess that's the nature of being Italian. The frier I bought when up in Maine last week is coming into good use, though the fried foodis not heart healthy!I cannot weight for Thanksgiving now.

Another quick weekend and another Sunday where I sit here dreading the week ahead. Kristin and I want to thank everyone for all their congratulations and warm wishes. We appreciate everyone's comments, emails, calls and support!

A New Chapter Begins...

It has been a long time since we last blogged. The past few months have been crazy for the both of us, however, Kristin and I are FINALLY happy to annouce that we are going to have a baby! Baby Favry is due April 5th, 2009, which is ironic because it falls right between our Birthdays. I guess this means that Kristin's Birthday will no longer be the main event and that the focus now will have to be mine!

It has been hard keeping it a secret from everyone, however, we wanted to make it through the first trimester knowing that this would be the hardest one. We told our family a couple of months ago, which was so exciting. Outside of telling your parents that you are getting married, telling them you are having a child is such an incredible feeling. We cannot wait for the day to introduce them to their new grandchild/nephew-neice!

We have gone now to 4 doctors appointments and three ultrasounds, with the last one being yesterday. Kristin and I were awed at how quickly the baby has grown. Even more amazing was actually being able to see the baby move and suck its thumb. The little "lemon" as Kristin calls it was moving around on the ultrasound yesterday. We even got to hear the heartbeat, which is such a comforting thing. Heartbeat is strong at 163 beats and the baby is now 2 inches, with the expectation that it will double in size in the next 2-3 weeks.

We are so happy to now be able to tell people because it makes it feel more real. For Kristin, the reality sets in when she can feel the first kick! For me, I think it is actually seeing her stomach and also knowing the gender. The both of us cannot wait to start getting things for our baby and all the planning that comes with it. As many of you know, Kristin and I are planners, so we have already thought about where we are putting the nursery, colors depending upon gender, looked at cribes and also stollers etc. Fun times indead but certainly a reality check!

We will be certain to keep you all updated along the way. We look forward to many more blogs about the new chapter that we have begun in our lives.
