Happy 6 Years!!!

There will be no pictures of Jackson on this blog as its Chelsea's special day. Happy Birthday Chelsea, to the best dog in the world!!!!

Sorry to have not posted regularly, its very difficult to be a stay at home mom, I know it sounds easy but its the hardest thing I have ever done, to be home alone all day with a newborn!!!!

Memorial Day weekend was good, I was happy Anthony had off Friday AND monday. On Friday we did some outdoor work ( pics to follow) including staining the back deck, planting flowers and watching our lawn mower break...again.

DH and Grammie Goldsmith visited Saturday and went to the Equinox Diner, Jackson was a good boy until we got home and he had explosive poops all over his car seat...no pictures of that.

Sunday we went to a cookout in RI where Jackson was a very good boy the whole day. That quickly turned on the ride home where we he went into meltdown mode which lasted basically through yesterday.

Jackson is eight weeks tomorrow...if you can believe it. He is smiling lots more now and starting to coo and find his voice. Ill be sure to post new pictures soon. Also to come new pictures and a blog about our outdoor changes including a new patio......

Jackson has his first visit from his Uncle Adam, aka "Zio" on Saturday.
We had a great visit. When Adam arrive he met the little bug and got to hold him and even feed him! Adam just graduated bar tending school so he practiced on Anthony and I and made some great drinks. His specialties of the afternoon were grape crushes and Alabama Slammers...there was also a delicious tuscan lemonade mix. We had some great snacks and just caught up.





Carol and Scott also stopped by to meet Mr. Jackson and it was great to be with friends and catch up and have some fruity drinks and lots of laughs!

Later Saturday evening Adam and Anthony went to pick up pizza and we tried to watch Troop Beverly Hills but Anthony vetoed that one...we watched a little of Mama Mia before we all were tucked in bed by 10pm...

Sunday Morning as we were all up bright and early we took Adam to our favorite breakfast place "Somewhere in Time" It was baby day there as every table seemed to have an infant carrier, Jackson fit right in!

It was a great weekend and we look forward to seeing Zio again on the 31st!

Jackson will be six weeks old on Thursday, I can't believe it. He is changing so much. He has found his voice and started to "coo" and make all kinds of noises, especially when Papa Goldsmith calls, Jackson loves to talk on the phone and make all kinds of noises for Papa. I'm waiting for him to give me a big smile, and know that he is smiling....here is the little bird talking to me after I changed him..



On Saturday Anthony and I had Jackson out all day, he does so good. We took him to Khols, to get new plants, and to Babies R Us. We came home for a bit then took him out again to get some groceries. He does very well in the car and stores, I think its because we started taking him out from day one so he is used to it. Saturday night we had pizza and Anthony made me my first cocktail, I drank about 3 sips...

My first mothers day was nice. Jackson bought me a Tiffany's charm bracelet and my first charm, a heart reading " its a boy". Anthony and Chelsea renewed my subscription to In Touch...Jackson loves when I read him all the gossip.
We went to brunch in Mystic with Nannie, Papa B. and Grammie F. Below is a picture of me and mom and Jackson on my first mothers day.



Jackson has also graduated out of his pack and play and into his big boy crib. Its nice to have our room back to just me, Anthony, and of course Chelsea!

Anthony gives Jackson his bath at night and his 10pm feeding, during the week I do the 2am feeding ( which was 4am last night...hope that happens again) and on the weekends Anthony lets me sleep and does the 2am. My newest project is getting Jackson to nap in his crib which he is currently doing as I type this, its been 16 mins...fingers crossed.

Jackson went to the pediatrician Monday and is weighing in at a slender 1lbs 10oz....the 12lb 12oz weight was an error.

When Jackson wakes up we will have mid morning snack and then head to the track. Talk to you later!

One Month Down!

Sorry we have not posted in over a week, the days seem to just slip away from me and when I do have a moment alone the blog is the last thing on my mind!!!

Jackson turned one month old on Sunday. Its hard to believe!!! In some ways it feels like I delivered him yesterday and in other ways I can't imagine life without him in it. The past four weeks have definitely had its challenges. But day by day things get a little easier. Jackson and I are trying to get into a routine during the day and when daddy gets home he has bath and bedtime routine.

At his one month visit he was a very health 12lbs 12oz and 22 1/4 inches. Basically he is gaining a pound per week!

This past weekend we took Jackson up to Mass to a first communion at Leah's house. He got to meet his Aunts and a few cousins ( Anthony has the pictures to that....)
Saturday night Nannie and Papa B babysat while Anthony and I went on a hot date to the Omaha Steak store and a quick dinner.

Sunday morning Nannie took Jackson at 6am and Anthony and I slept till 9!! It was great. We then got ready and Papa B fed Jackson before we headed over to Papa and Grammie Goldsmiths.

Papa took us all out to smokey bones for lunch. Of course Jackson woke up right when the food came out but Papa fed him and Jackson was then happy again, so happy he pooped his pants. This is the second restaraunt we have gone to that does NOT have a baby changing station in the bathroom, oh well, the backseat of the truck works just as well.

Ill try to post more often and send updated pictures. Im sure they'll be more post and pictures as I get ready to celebrate my first mother's day this Sunday!!! Crazy!
