Yeah I know, we have not done a blog in a while. We have thought about it but yet still did not write one. To be honest, after Thanksgiving last week, I just never got around to it.
Sunday I went to the Pat's game. Overall, it sucked! Between it being cold, windy and rainy, the Pat's played awful. They looked like a high school team vs. a professional one. We got to to the stadium at 12 to tailgate and the entire time we froze our asses off not to mention how soaked we were. By the time we got into the stadium (3:30), the rain picked up as did the wind. To be honest, the best part of the game was leaving! Don't get me wrong, I was excited to have the chance to go but, well....
Monday both Kristin and I were off. Our day was packed with running errands. Most noteworthy was the fact that we finished registering! Babies'R'Us was empty which made registering that more enjoyable. All we had left was to register for cups, beginner spoons and forks and graduate bottles. We also made some changes to some of the items we previously registered. Kristin and I also ordered all the room `decor, which should be arriving in 2-3 weeks. Perfect timing because my goal is to have the nursery painted by the end of this month. Additionally, the furniture should be coming in either next week or the week after. Now, we unfortunately will not be able to take a picture of the nursery or show any of you if you should come to our house because the babies name will be on the wall. SO, I guess you'll just have to wait until April!
This has been a nice short week for me. As I mentioned earlier, both Kristin and I were off Monday and today I am working until 11am (1/2 day). Next week I am traveling to Colorado Monday-Wednesday, work Thursday and off Friday. The following week I only have two days in the office then I am off from through first week of January....exciting!!! Too bad my lovely wife could not get time off.
Tomorrow Kristin, my mom and I are heading to the cemetery to put Christmas plants at my father's and grandparent's grave. Kristin also wants to make a pit stop at the consignment store. Not living up in the Rocky Hill area or even remotely close, she does not get a chance to get there often to claim her money and/or drop off clothes. Last time we dropped off a lot of stuff after having cleaned out the babies closet. Sunday should be a quiet day. Kristin is heading to a Thanksmas brunch with her friends. I on the other hand will be spending a wonderful morning at the grocery store and watching the Pat's game in the afternoon. Unfortunately, I will not be enjoying any homebrew because we drank it all on Thanksgiving...the entire keg! The good news is that next weekend, my Hop-Nog will be ready in time for our Christmas party. Jared helped me last Friday brew my next batch. This week it has been in the first stage of the fermenting process. Today I will be transferring it to the second stage then into the keg next Friday to carbonate in time for the par-te. Speaking of Jared, I want to pubic-ly spank...err...thank him for helping me move all the furniture out of the nursery last weekend.
Before I end, below is an updated picture of Kristin at just about week 23 (1 day short). Chelsea also decided to show us her side profile. The baby has been moving all around, which is exciting for Kristin to be able to feel him moving. He has already developed a pattern of sleep and awake time. Every day around 2pm he seems to like dancing around as Kristin likes to call it. Kristin for the first time Tuesday was able to put her hand on her stomach and feel him kick. Up to this point she has been feeling him move around inside but not able to feel it when putting her hand on her stomach. My little buddy though seems to enjoy teasing his father because he stops moving every time I put my hand on her stomach. He's a teaser, just like someone else I know!
