Flawless

Greetings All - TaTa & Twon here....

This just about sums up our weekend:

"....Flawless, absolutely flawless."

Wooops....This sums up our weekend:

On the serious side, TaTa and I had a great weekend up at Jamanda's. We went up Friday afternoon and got home about 11:30pm Sunday night. We definitely had a jammed packed weekend. Friday night we had a BBQ and Saturday, Jared and I went for a bike ride and we all headed over to Lynn and George's for Amanda's Birthday. Lynn and George put out a fantastic spread of food!!!

Sunday, I went for a bike ride to Starbucks while the kids slept. Once everyone was up, we went to Walmart, Govenor's, Agway, got ice cream and Jared and I went for a canoe ride. By the time we left, I was wiped out!

So, TaTa and I got our first gift from Callum. He bought his aunt and uncle a outdoor plant. TaTa and I were so excited to plant it when we got home. We have to thank Callum because his plant became the motivation today to put in another plant bed. TaTa and I put in a perennial bed/garden on the left side of our garage. Callum's plant is the center piece of our masterpiece. Below are some pictures of the new perennial garden. Once Callum's plant blooms, it will have a beautiful purple/pink flower, which blooms all summer long. In the fall time, it grows rosehips, which Jared said you can put in your tea. TaTa and I cannot wait until Callum comes down to visit!!!

Sunday the weather was absolutely beautiful! Before going to Agway, Jared and Amanda took TaTa and I to a park right along the river. I wish I could have laid a blanket on the ground and just sit there all day. While at the park, we took some pictures, which are below. I love the picture of TaTa and I. We were looking at it today and said it looked like it was professionally done (good job Jared!). We especially liked how you can see our wedding bands. I have really come to like black and white photos.

Below are some other pictures from our weekend:

In addition to creating our new perennial garden, I trimmed our shrubs, cut the lawn and did some other odds and ends outside. Papa Goldsmith also came down today to visit. He brought some of his yummy white chocolate brownies. He also brought Ms. Monroe some donut holes for her 5th Birthday. Rosie also stopped by to join the CMF Birthday celebration, which was topped off with some pizza from Valentinos!

Well, thanks again Jamanda for a fun weekend and thank you Callum for our plant! We will see you next week!!!!! As Cha Cha says "Push Panda, push!"

BFF

Good Morning, Chelsea here. Today I am spending the day packing all sorts of stuff cause tomorrow I'm going to Maine to visit my BFF Thomas. We are best friends and do all sorts of fun stuff together. Some activities we enjoy are napping, sitting in front of the door looking outside, sniffing grass, playing chase, and playing slap slap. I share him with all my treats and even let him eat my dog food. For years he pretended he didn't like me but now our love for each other is outwardly expressed.

I've had a very busy week, I was at Nannie camp from Friday until Tuesday. I run the show there and sleep wherever I want and watch over the neighborhood from Nannie's futon. The maintenance man loves me and the paper boy brings my biscuits. Most of my time was spent following Boppie around and begging for whatever he was eating. I also learned how to go do some condo association tasks. Im the new mascot.

Well I better get off the computer, mummi and daddy are in the office today and think I'm asleep...shhhh

See you soon Thomas.
Love,Chelsea
PS. My birthday is Tuesday, I'm having my party at Bounce You.

HI Kristin here. Sorry i didn't post a blog all weekend but I was very busy and then was at Nannie Camp resting.

Friday night I headed into Boston to check in for the Avon Breast Cancer Walk. Kim, Casey and I checked in then had a pasta supper. Saturday morning we awoke to pouring rain...but that didn't stop us. We had breakfast and began the walk at 630 AM. It poured from about 630-830 but after that the sun came out and the weather was nice. We walked a total of 26.2 miles on Saturday. Casey had a minor passing out episode at mile 18 so she was done for the day. Kim and I finished about 4pm and Mum was at the finish line in Canton waiting for us. Once I upload the pictures I will be sure to share them. Mum brought us water and brownies and then drove us to Shaws to get some Icy Hot for Casey. She dropped us at the hotel where we showered and rested and got delivery for dinner. We were fast asleep by 9 and up at 5am the next day to finish walking! Casey did not walk as she was not feeling well from Saturday but Kim and I finished the 13 miles for a total of 39 miles!!! We were very sore towards the end and my hip was killing me, but we finished. The finish line was fun, the last mile is all pink balloons and people cheering and music. We finished about 1pm and I headed to Nannie Camp to rest. Amanda might be interested in walking next year. She was supposed to walk this year but went and got herself pregnant....god Amanda, what are your priorities? There are also new crew members that ride bicycles and stop traffic and what not, maybe the boys can do that and us girls can walk!

Anthony made my favorite eggplant for supper and I also had flowers and fudge! And a cake!! It was yummy. I slept on the couch a bit while Twon and Mum went to Target to browse.

Anthony worked in the city yesterday so I stayed at Mum's and worked from home. Chelsea has been here since Friday enjoying all her favorite treats and running the house. Last night Anthony and the bopper went to the red sox and could practically see the sweat coming off the players, I'm sure Twon will post his pictures and write a blog about his visit to Newport and trip to the Sox game.

That's my weekend in a nut shell. Ill share pictures soon.

Good Morning, Kristin here reporting live from my house. Chelsea and I are sharing a bagel and Twon had to leave very Early to get into the office. He was NOT happy. It stinks because he was in Maine Monday, Tuesday & Weds. We had yesterday together and now I'm leaving so we won't see eachother till Sunday, then Twon is in Boston Monday & Tuesday. When I woke up I had notes everywhere from him which is so fun to find!!!
I also woke up to a cute white dog going through my bag and taking socks out.....

Today I head up to Boston and meet Kim for registration and event eve. Tomorrow morning around 6am we begin a weekend of walking 40 miles. I'll be sure to post pictures of my walk next week.

So Daddy Henry should start his own blog don't you think? Until he does he will run ideas through me and I will post for him.

What are your thoughts on bumper stickers that read " My son is student of the month at winslow middle school."

DH hates them. He wants a bumper sticker that reads " I was my doctor's colonoscopy patient of the month." Daddy Henry doesn't really care if your kid is student of the month, frankly neither do I. I'm getting a bumper sticker that says , " my dog is student of the month at doggie day care"....but I ask you this DH. What if one day my cute little kid comes over and hands you a bumper sticker that says " my grandson is student of the month", would you put it on your truck????? Hmmmmm

Chelsea's Chocolates

Hi. Kristin here.

Chelsea's Chocolates has expanded its business. In addition to making chocolate dipped marshmellows, as see at Jamanda's shower, we are now making chocolate covered pretzels as shown above.

Anthony and I made this creation on Sunday morning. We dipped pretzel rods in chocolate and covered them in pink jimmies. The ones with the M&Ms are authentic Indian Jones mint M&MS :-) Don't they look yummo???

We already have our next chocolate dipped creation in the making.....what will it be??? Any guesses or suggestions?

Business is really booming. If anyone would like to hire Chelsea's Chocolates to make your next occasion a special one please let us know :-) We are now booking through Xmas.

I've also added some pretty pictures of our yard as everything is blooming and green!

That's all. Anthony is in Portland and I am home entertaining myself with laundry, shower cleaning, and catching up on TV. Hey Anthony, since Jared couldn't meet you for dinner ( WRITE THIS DOWN JARED PASSED UP A FREE MEAL)you should have called Lynn, I bet she would have met you for a Bay Breeze :-)

Mother's Day

Happy Monday!

Sorry for the delay in getting a posting up. TaTa and I have been so busy lately. Friday I took the day off, though I still attended conference calls and did emails. I spent a couple of hours in the morning at Home Depot. I had to get some fertilizer for the lawn (second step) and a couple of other items. I also got paint for my project.

The week prior TaTa and I were at HD and we saw this picture of a type of Faux painting that we liked. We have been wanting to do an accent wall for the wall our fireplace is one, but did not want to simply paint it a different color. So, I picked up the supplied to faux paint the wall. Essentially, you paint the base of the wall the color of your choice, ours was this redish color. Once it dries, you then sponge a glaze on, which is a different color (ours was hot orange). As the glaze dries, it absorbs the color underneath and what you are left with is this beautifully textured, dimensional wall. Our wall came out amazing. I was going to put a picture up, but you cannot see all the detail, so you will just have to come and see.

Saturday TaTa and I spent the day outside. We planted the plants in our pots that we put on the front porch and in front of the garage door. We also sprayed down the siding and front porch railings with a chemical that dissolves the mildew and other stains. We washed siding, shutters and the back deck. I then cleaned out the garage and used the blower to clean off the driveway. While I was finishing up outside, Kristin cleaned the inside of the house. I attempted to hit some gold balls in the back yard. I did make one good hit, which ended up going over our house, across the street and bounced off a tree before falling short of hitting the shed in our neighbors yard. With that, I came inside!

Saturday night TaTa and went next door and played some games. One of the games we played, we played the last time we were there, which I love. It is called Settlers and I have not been able to find it.

Mother's Day TaTa and I took Cha Cha and Rosie (and Bob) to brunch at the Octagon. The food was really good. They had, a raw bar, chicken saltimboca, creamy orzo, catfish, lobster bisque, pasta bar (made to order pasta), prime rib, calamari, various salads, cheeses, breads, chocolate fountain....to name only some of the things. We all ate too much, but it was all so good! Below are some pictures from our brunch. No one took a picture of TaTa and I.

After brunch, we came back to the house and sat on the deck for a couple of hours and relaxed. It was nice until the clouds came and it got cold. Last night TaTa and I watched some TV.

Well, I am waiting for my ride to come. I am heading up to Portland, ME today and will be up there until Wednesday afternoon/night. Make sure you all call TaTa to check in on her!

Public Restroom Questions/Ettiquette

Oh hi.

Here is our second part of our etiquette/questions series. We haven't really been watching TV much at all lately. We've enjoyed just talking and relaxing and one of the things I started asking Anthony questions on was Public Restroom Etiquette.

I have a lot of "issues" with the use of public restrooms. I can NOT use a restroom on an airplane, I get all filled with anxiety. I didn't go once on our flight to or from CA recently. I think the last time I used a bathroom on a plane was when I was 7 and Daddy Henry took us to Florida. Of course I waited to tell him I had to go until everyone food had arrive and trays were down etc....

Only recently did I began using outhouses and that is only because of my breast cancer walk, you really can't hold it for 40 miles.

So here are some questions/concerns we have come up with on public restroom etiquette....

* The first question I have, what is the point of urinals? Are you men really SO lazy that you can't walk into a stall and pee in a toilet? I don't get it. And when you are using a urinal, do you talk to the people next to you? Where do you look, just straight ahead at the wall? What if all the urinals are taken, do you stand behind a guy in line and just wait?

* What is your take on bringing reading material into a public restroom, like work..Anthony and I see it all the time.

* This is gross but we have to ask. How does one get poop on the toilet seat?? And if you do, wouldn't you maybe wipe it off before departing from your stall? Yes we see this at work also.

* Why do people at work like to talk to you while you pee? I'm friendly so I'll say hello if I see someone in there, but then they want to talk the whole time we pee, I don't...

* You know those "neat seat covers" people at work use them but when they are done they leave them on the toilet seat...its gross. I really don't get it.

* What do you do if you clog a public restroom toilet? There aren't plungers in the bathrooms...do you just pretend you didn't do it or do you find someone to plunge for you? " Hi I just clogged the toilet at Macy's on the 1st level, do you have a plunger?"

* Why don't people flush?

*Anthony asks....what if you walk into a bathroom and see someone you have not see in a very long time. You see them as they come out of the stall or away from the urinal and they reach out to shake your hand....do you shake?

There is this one lady at work, well she is on disability now, but she used to walk to the bathroom with a can of lysol spray. She should have just worn a sign on her shirt that said " I'm going to make a big stink" but on the other hand...why don't public restrooms have cans of spray?

One time at work a lady was in a stall going to the bathroom. A person walked into a stall next to her and slammed the door....the stall door literally fell on the poor lady inocently taking a pee, she had to go to the hospital.

Are you ever in a "oner" and you lock the door. Someone tries to get in and they don't try once, they try like 78 times...Hello, someone is in here. (A seperate blog will be forthcoming with a story on how Mum locked herself in the dunkin donuts bathroom...........)

Am I forgetting aything Anthony?

Rainy Weekend Update

Oh Hi. So Sorry we were unable to blog over the weekend. We were just busy doing "stuff."

Friday night Twon and I went to Voo Doo Grill for dinner. We haven't gone there since DH took all us kids back when we moved to Ledyard. It was really good and its very inexpensive. Anthony had the pulled pork which he RAVED about and I had beef enchiladas. We also had dessert which was deep friend brownies, apple crisp, and bananas foster...2 pieces of each. Very Yummo.

Saturday morning we lounged around and then went to Home Depot and Petco for fish food Chelsea food ( organic by the way), and a runner for Ms. Monroe as she has been seen chasing deer. At Home Depot Anthony got some stain for the front porch and we actually got some flowers for the front porch as they are about half the price that we paid last year at the local nursery. Saturday night I went to an Arbonne skin care party. I just love the stuff. I'd have a party if June, Lynn, Michelle, and Miley came....

Yesterday we went to church and then grocery shopped. I cleaned the house up while Stewie roasted peppers on the grill. He mad FAB dinner of meatloaf with sun dried tomatoes, feta, and roasted peppers mixed in. We also had yellow Spanish rice, roasted peppers, and tomatoes with mozzarella cheese. It was very yummy. Good job Twon!!!

Neither of us wanted to come to work today. Figures, the weather turned nice as soon as the weekend ended.

We made add on a part 2 to our grocery store blog. We've come up with several other questions.

Any plans for Cinco De Mayo tonight, Jared said they are going to Margarittas to celebrate. Anthony got his drivers licsence 13 years ago today!! Old geezer :-)

Supermarket Etiquette/Complaints

Hi Kristin Here...SO a few thoughts on supermarket ettiquette...

What is the proper ettiquette when there is no bagger in your check out lane. Are we supposed to bag? Are we supposed to help the cashier bag?? Do you ever pick a lane BECAUSE there is a bagger and then your about to start your order and they leave....

Shouldn't we treat aisles like streets, like one side is for carriages going and one is for carriages coming...do not just ram your carriage down the middle of the asile. Also do not stand in the middle of the aisle asking your wife (who is at home and you are on your cell) what kind of cereal to get.

I was at Stop and Shop Sunday doing the shopping solo and I got Anthony some surpise cookies from the bakery. They were special italian cookies that he likes that he only gets a few times a year. When the lady was ringing them in she said " are you sure you want these, kinda of expensive for cookies" would I be buying them if I didn't want them??? Just scan them and shush.....

Now I know you are supposed to "feel" certain fruits before your purchase them, but they should provide gloves. What if someone with all these germs and skin diseases fondles the fruit and doesn't purchase it?? That stuff don't rinse off.....

Pet peeve: when the cashier does not greet me and when they do not tell me the total amount, they just finish and look at you. makes me mad

Self Check Out Lines...Ill let Daddy Henry run with that one...

Do you put your carriage back, what about if you drop something, do you pick it up? Do you decide you don't want something and leave it on a random shelf?

Anthony has questions on the way the milk is displayed on the shelves but I will have to let him talk about that....

I think that is it.

Anthony is mowing the lawn right now!!! First time of the season. He is off tomorrow, he is taking every Friday off lately to use his time. Its supposed to rain so maybe he'll just relax in his 'jammas"

I walked today and did not get a blister, that is exciting for me!! I have a new product I use on my heels, BodyGlide, go ahead Jared, have fun with that one...
