Happy Monday!
Sorry for the delay in getting a posting up. TaTa and I have been so busy lately. Friday I took the day off, though I still attended conference calls and did emails. I spent a couple of hours in the morning at Home Depot. I had to get some fertilizer for the lawn (second step) and a couple of other items. I also got paint for my project.
The week prior TaTa and I were at HD and we saw this picture of a type of Faux painting that we liked. We have been wanting to do an accent wall for the wall our fireplace is one, but did not want to simply paint it a different color. So, I picked up the supplied to faux paint the wall. Essentially, you paint the base of the wall the color of your choice, ours was this redish color. Once it dries, you then sponge a glaze on, which is a different color (ours was hot orange). As the glaze dries, it absorbs the color underneath and what you are left with is this beautifully textured, dimensional wall. Our wall came out amazing. I was going to put a picture up, but you cannot see all the detail, so you will just have to come and see.
Saturday TaTa and I spent the day outside. We planted the plants in our pots that we put on the front porch and in front of the garage door. We also sprayed down the siding and front porch railings with a chemical that dissolves the mildew and other stains. We washed siding, shutters and the back deck. I then cleaned out the garage and used the blower to clean off the driveway. While I was finishing up outside, Kristin cleaned the inside of the house. I attempted to hit some gold balls in the back yard. I did make one good hit, which ended up going over our house, across the street and bounced off a tree before falling short of hitting the shed in our neighbors yard. With that, I came inside!
Saturday night TaTa and went next door and played some games. One of the games we played, we played the last time we were there, which I love. It is called Settlers and I have not been able to find it.
Mother's Day TaTa and I took Cha Cha and Rosie (and Bob) to brunch at the Octagon. The food was really good. They had, a raw bar, chicken saltimboca, creamy orzo, catfish, lobster bisque, pasta bar (made to order pasta), prime rib, calamari, various salads, cheeses, breads, chocolate fountain....to name only some of the things. We all ate too much, but it was all so good! Below are some pictures from our brunch. No one took a picture of TaTa and I.
After brunch, we came back to the house and sat on the deck for a couple of hours and relaxed. It was nice until the clouds came and it got cold. Last night TaTa and I watched some TV.
Well, I am waiting for my ride to come. I am heading up to Portland, ME today and will be up there until Wednesday afternoon/night. Make sure you all call TaTa to check in on her!

Hey you are right, no one took a picture of us Twon Bon.
The wall looks really nice in our house, Anthony did a good job, My job was to hold the tray while he sponged. He couldn't have done it without me.
Brunch was yummy. Mom dropped some things in the chocolate fountain and threw a napkin over it to cover it up... After the rents left and Chelsea investigated nannie's car ( and came out witha brown face)..Chelsea and Daddy laid on the front grass and napped.
