THE END OF AN ERA

It is with mixed emotion that I announce the end of an era, the end of the Amish Bread era. Daddy Henry is probably in tears as I write this. don't worry DH, we will start making something new...

Its kind of funny because Amanda had given me a starter in like September or October. I made my first batch and Anthony and DH loved it. So basically for the past oh NINE MONTHS, every 10 days I've been making a batch of Amish Bread. Twon did step in towards the end and made the last 3 loaves, he was very good at it. The funny part is I don't think Amanda ever made one....hmmmmm

You need the "starter" in order to make Amish bread so once you stop, its hard to start up again. But I am sure that I will find a starter out there again one day. We've decided to stop for now because we are leaving for CA and there is no one to "mush" the bag and add ingredients and also neither Anthony nor myself felt like baking our bread last night.

Don't get to upset DH, I think I have three loaves in the freezer.

Any suggestions on what I should start baking now that my Amish days are over??

Well tonight we have to finish packing, well I'll finish and Anthony will start. We leave at 4am for CA tomorrow. Our next blog will be live from CA.

TATA for now.
