Jamanda's Baby Shower

We posted pictured from Jamanda's baby shower to the right of this blog entry. If you double click on the pictures, it should open a new window so you can see the pictures larger.

The shower was a lot of fun yesterday and a good amount of people came! Kristin and I headed up to MA Friday evening so we could help get the club house set up. A couple of months ago, the mudda-in-law, Kristin and I went shopping for decorations. In addition to putting up the decorations we had purchased, we set up tables etc.

I have to tell you, as I was setting up the club house, I could not help but reminisce on all the events we have had in that club house since Kristin and I started dating, and for Kristin and Jared, all the events they had in the club house before Amanda and I. I mean, we had graduation parties in there, Mother's Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas, Birthday parties. One of the Christmas' we had at the club house was the Christmas I had proposed to Kristin. A couple of years later, the club house is where Kristin and I had our wedding shower and yesterday, years after we all got married, it was the baby shower for Jared and Amanda. That club house has seen to many milestones in our lives and certainly has been a constant gathering place for the families to come together.

Everyone seemed to have a good time yesterday......Lynn and George, we missed you!!! Hopefully between the pictures we all took and the video Jared and Amanda took, you will feel as though you were apart of the celebration! As always, there was plenty of good food. We had chips, dip, cheese and crackers for snacks. For lunch, we had a variety of wraps. My personal favorites was the chicken Caesar wrap and the turkey BLT wrap. Along with the wraps we had Italian macaroni salad, an assortment of pickled items (pickles, onions etc.). We also had chicken wings, meatballs and Italian bread and a Caesar salad. For dessert, we had Whites Bakery cupcakes, which were decorated baby ornaments. HG made his famous brownies and TaTa and I made chocolate covered marshmallows, which we had dipped in jimmies, wrapped in bags and tied with bows. We took three marshmallows and put them on a skewer, dipped in either blue (white) chocolate or peanut butter chocolate. For the peanut butter chocolate marshmallows, we used coconut crusted marshmallows. Everyone seemed to like them, though, they were somewhat difficult to make and VERY messy! Chelsea looked like a Christmas tree by the time we got done because all the Jimmies that fell, fell on her and get stuck in her hair.

After we ate, Jared and Amanda opened their gifts and then we had some dessert. For the rest of the afternoon, we all just sat around, talked, reminisced, joked and I asked Amanda 20,000 questions about being pregnant (sorry Amanda). The whole concept of being pregnant amazes me, though I had to say, it still freaks me out to some extent. The thought of someone growing inside of you, kicking you, moving around etc. in so weird but yet amazing. Looking at Amanda, I felt uncomfortable for her and worried to some extent that her stomach was going to somehow open up.....may sound weird, but I get nervous that somehow the babies hand is going come right out of the stomach.

I think we finally got out of the club house just before 8pm, at which time, TaTa and I headed home with Rosie following behind in her car. By the time we got home, we were exhausted. We both took showers, did some reading and then passed out. This morning I got up early to write out bills and make sense of the check book. Kristin and I went to church and then got some breakfast afterwards.

The weather is pretty gloomy today. It is much cooler than what it has been the past week. Those who know me well will be shocked, but I actually put the heat on this morning because I was freezing!!! Write this day down because it might never happen again.

Well, hopefully you all had a great day! Jared and Amanda, I hope you got home safely and had fun at Babies'R'Us and Lynn, hopefully you are feeling better. Hopefully TaTa and I will see you soon so we can have our Malibu Bay Breezes and Margaritas!!!!

Everyone knows that the "Marshmallow Treat Pops" were MY IDEA!!!!!!

THe Bean cleaned up once again and we all had a great time.

Especially my Grand-doggie",,,, she got to sleep upstairs, no cage, and looked out the window.

Anyway, all went smoothly and it was good to see everyone, that was my first get together that we had for a LONG time and it was good to get back into the SWING again and have some good time fun.

Thanks to the Kranthony's for all their help, even though they both know, again,,,,,, that it was MY IDEA!!!!

THATS ALL!!!!!!!
